John C. Kim was born and raised in South Korea and came to the U.S. to further his studies with his wife Sarah Sung in 1967. He received his master's and doctorate degrees in political science (American government) from the University of Southern California and taught at Pepperdine University, the University of Alaska Anchorage, and California State University, Monterey Bay for four decades. As the head of Jesus Awakening Movement for America/All Nations (JAMA) and the Global Leadership Development Institute (GLDI), he calls on Christians to pray for spiritual awakening and revival and trains young people to be transforming leaders for Christ.
