Dr. Scott and Lynda Field invited interested parishioners to join them on a Holy Land Classic pilgrimage to expand their knowledge of the Bible and this sacred land. Their brochure said that a journey following in the footsteps of Jesus will change the way the participants read the Bible, and will teach them why scholars refer to this trip as the "Fifth Gospel".When I was a child, faithfully attending Sunday School almost every week and Bible School every summer, I was continually exposed to those maps of the Holy Land but never related them to places that actually exist today. Most of the time I secretly wondered if they were fake. Then, when Scott used the Book of Mathew to explain where Jesus's actions and messages took place and identified them the map, I was hooked.This describes with words and pictures what I experienced during this trip.
