In 2009, Petty Officer Daniel Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy. An administrator by trade, his passion for problem-solving, technology exploration, and team building have led to his selection for several challenging duties. His assignments include Administrative Officer, Coastal Riverine Group One, Detachment Guam; Project Manager, Department of the Navy Assistant for Administration; Special Assistant, Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy Office of Strategy and Innovation; Administrative Department Leading Petty Officer, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron Three Five, Military Assistant, Defense Information Systems Agency Joint Staff Support Center, and Enlisted Military Assistant to the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer. Petty Officer Richard holds executive and professional certifications in Corporate Innovation and Design Thinking from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Blockchain Technology from the University of California, Berkeley. His awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and several Flag Letters of Commendation. He is happily married and the father of two daughters.
