From the Lodge Hall in Castle House, Sorcerer the Mastiff begins his stories of travels on a carpet that can fly. When Rajah and Pasha, his teenage companions discover the secret power of Dark Energy, they take flight with Sorcerer to Serenlandia, a hidden mountain kingdom where they meet the princess Loreenya and embark on a mission to rescue two missing boys.They cross the protective mountain ridge Westenra to plunge into the dark, swampy canyon Zenzagore, filled with primeval creatures and a threatening tribe of primitive hunters. They conduct a series of daring rescues after barely surviving an avalanche, and are joined by Zen, a huge prehistoric Dire Wolf as they battle a Saber Tooth Tiger and evade Wooly Mammoths amidst tar-filled bogs and swamps. Their adventures are planned by their guardian Edmondo, who teaches them how to generate telegenic thought to control the carpet, to communicate across great distances and even travel across the Solar System to Titan, a moon of Saturn.
