Bob Goulding, the crotchety boss of Big Apple Advertising in Lower Manhattan, is tearing what's left of his hair out in yet another classic 'Bob' meltdown. He's got the studio prepped for the shoot, which resembles a French Boudoir. He's got the photographer, who weighs in at around eight hundred bucks an hour! But what he doesn't have is the model. She's late, apparently caught up in a traffic jam and time is money around here. As Bob is off-loading all his dollar-related angst onto his long-suffering Client Manager, Beverly-Jane in the corridor. 'Ping!' His eyes suddenly light up. Beverly-Jane looks at him dubiously. She's seen that light come on before.
'You!' he proclaims triumphantly, pointing at her. 'Me?' 'Yeah you! You can be the model BJ!' Beverly-Jane finds herself once again coerced into another one of Bob's crazy schemes. But she is about to earn an extra thousand dollars. and she is very much a 'shoes and hand-bag' girl. Things get better, much better, when she rather nervously enters the studio. The very casually dressed (almost scruffy) hippy-ish looking photographer happens to be none other than Dan Hooper. THE Dan Hooper. Dan the Man Hooper.
Mister 'Hot-Spot' himself! Five minutes later Beverly-Jane finds herself behind the curtain-rail stripping down to her black lace panties at goddamned 4pm in the afternoon. to be photographed by the most in-demand 'pap' in the city whilst laying on a bed tempting him and his camera to partake in some exotic booze. What could possibly go wrong? After what turns out to be the most memorable photo shoot he has ever done, Dan takes BJ to meet a couple of friends in a nearby bar. Beverly-Jane is about to be fully introduced into the world of Dan 'The Man' Hooper; naturalist, serious photo journalist, war correspondent, paparazzi . and deadly mercenary.
