Jodee Kulp is an award-winning author, illustrator, publisher, and international advocate known for her pioneering work in the field of fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). She has written, co-written, or contributed to numerous books that promote understanding and practical strategies for living with FASD and other forms of neurodiversity, blending storytelling, research-based information, and creative design to "give voice to the voiceless," especially children, adults, and families affected by prenatal alcohol exposure. A former owner of a graphic design firm, she brings decades of experience in communication, typography, and publishing to her books, curricula, and training materials. Jodee is recognized as an international speaker and trainer, presenting in the United States and abroad on FASD, family support, and community inclusion. She also co-founded the global Red Shoes Rock Stop FASD awareness campaign to increase visibility and understanding through creative media and community events. Together with her husband Karl, they have parented neurodiverse children, including their daughter Liz, whose life and self-advocacy have deeply shaped Jodee's writing and outreach, inspiring both nonfiction guides and fiction that center on neurodivergent characters, resilience, and community compassion. Through Better Endings New Beginnings, she continues to develop resources, courses, and stories to build empathy, practical understanding, and hope among families and professionals working with complex needs.
