Kevin Kurtz has loved science, nature, and books since he was a kid. He is the author of the children's books A Day in the Deep, A Day in the Salt Marsh, A Day on the Mountain, and Uncovering Earth's Secrets. He has also worked as an educator for organizations such as the South Carolina Aquarium, the Science Factory Children's Museum, and onboard the R/V JOIDES Resolution during a research expedition in the South Pacific to study ocean volcanoes. Kevin currently lives in upstate New York, where he continues to write and visit schools to teach children about the wonders of science, nature, reading, and writing.
