Rebecca Lang has hosted pretty much every type of party under the sun. She honed her entertaining skills while working for a large caterer in Charleston, SC. She started as a station chef, server for black-tie events, and a bartender on occasion. She worked her way up to an event chef and had entire functions under her care. On the busiest nights during Spoleto, it wasn't uncommon to manage multiple parties throughout each night. If you can entertain successfully in the haute society of Charleston, you can entertain anywhere with ease. Her first book, published in 2004, Southern Entertaining for a New Generation, started her off on a career as an author of now six books. Opening her home for parties is such a part of her life, that her new home was designed with entertaining in mind.

She and the architect sketched out party traffic flow as the plans were in process. She has been a contributing editor to Southern Living for over seven years and appears frequently at branded events all over the South. These events provide for organic book promotion and successful sales opportunities. Rebecca has also had extensive experience selling multiple books and Southern Living products on QVC. A former Oxmoor House assistant food editor and author of two Southern Living -branded books, Rebecca understands and appreciates the brand, the audience, and the influence that the magazine has on its readers.
