Words on the Page is an important project of Literacy Chicago to let our students shine. Students worked diligently to write about, “My Story.” We are proud of our students, teachers and the writings you see in this book. Adults who commit to learning reading and writing are courageous, first to recognize the need and second to take action. Learning as adults is a much different process than when we were in school as children. The book you hold is a testament to our hard working teachers and the successes our students are creating for themselves.
