Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Jessica met her heroic husband at college in Arkansas, and then battled the forces of bad grammar while teaching high school English in Texas for five years before continuing her adventure by moving to Colorado, where she wrote the bulk of her first novel. She now resides in New Mexico. Aside from writing, she enjoys reading, crocheting, hiking, updating her 1980s house, running, and playing video games.
