Excerpt from Carcinogenesis Abstracts, Vol. 11: A Monthly Publication of the National Cancer Institute; October 1973 Carcinogenesis Abstracts is a publication of the National Cancer Institute. The journal serves as a vehicle through which current documentation of car cinogenesis research highlights are compiled, con denesd, and disseminated on a regular basis. It represents an integral part of the Institute's program of fostering and supporting coordinated research into cancer etiology. Issues of carcino genesis Abstracts normally contain three - hundred abstracts and three-hundred citations (unaccompanied by corresponding abstracts). Abstracts and citations refer to the current scientific literature that des cribes the most significant carcinogenesis research carried on at the National Cancer Institute, other governmental agencies, and private institutions. Carcinogenesis Abstracts is intended to be a highly useful current awareness tool for scientists engaged in carcinogenesis research or related areas. The great number and diversity of publications relevant to carcinogenesis make imperative the availability of this service to investigators whose work requires that they keep abreast with current developments in the field.
