Ben Lyons is driven by the desire to help others transcend financial stress and worry in their lives. He began his career in 1983 immediately after graduating high school, and by the age of 25, he owned 100 rental properties and a million dollar lending business. Since then, he has been an initial investor and large shareholder of a commercial bank, a title company, a consumer finance company, and three mortgage banks. He has owned and managed over 375 residential and commercial real estate projects, and his lending organizations have produced more than 6.5 billion dollars in mortgages. 2 of these organizations were sold to publicly traded insurance and financial organizations. Widely considered an expert in private lending, his real passion is empowering others with the knowledge of how to grow within the financial system. He published a book in 2016 titled "Be The Bank": Creating and Increasing Wealth Through Private Mortgage Lending, and has authored several white papers on the subject of lending and the utilization and risk of Leverage.
He has been on the boards of 3 high schools and has been teaching financial literacy courses for over 20 years. Currently, he serves as Founder, Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer of The LYNK CAPITAL FUND, a private equity firm based in Raleigh North Carolina, Baltimore Maryland, Charlotte North Carolina, and Jacksonville Florida, and as the Wealth Strategist for Ortus Academy.
