Shadows of the Acropolis is a work of history describing the changes in American federal governance from 1900 to 2010. The format is chronological based on episodic retellings of such periods of history as the Theodore Roosevelt presidency, the Woodrow Wilson philosophy and presidency, the roaring 20's, the Great Depression, Dwight Eisenhower's highway system, LBJ's Great Society, Ronald Reagan's attempts at government reform, George Bush's ill fated tax hikes, Barack Obama's executive agency over-reach and the election of 2016 and its aftermath. The book contains commentary defining the changes made over time to America's federal structure of government. It describes the movement of power in the nation from local to federal authority and in the federal government, the shift in power from the people's representatives to the executive branch alone.
