This book is a battleground chronicle of the war that has begun over the American anatomy of government and over the American soul. This work witnesses the battles between America's founding ideals and the forces and current events that have driven a wedge into our system of governance and into the depths of the American Constitutional idea. Each of the articles contained in Volume III of this series have appeared in independent journals and take on a distinct subject. Some are about the rise of the Administrative State; some are about its politically biased and captive agencies, such as the FBI, the IRS and the EPA. Some of the passages discuss the socialist take overs of our institutions of higher learning, where tenured professors are more concerned with indoctrinating Americans in the "fairness" of socialism than educating them on the glory of our unique history of constitutional freedom. Other articles deal with the economy, such as with today's massive regulatory attack on the fossil fuels industry, which is a tell-tale trait of the sort of government command and control one associates with socialism. Some passages deal with all three of these subjects with a general view of how powers once reserved to individual citizens, to the states, to independent institutions, or to businesses and industries have become evermore the province of an omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent federal Leviathan. What is at stake, if we do not come to realize who we are, where we are today, and how and why we got here is no less than the loss of what took 6,000 years of human slavery and misery to achieve - the light of life itself, the flower of human existence, the jewel of just governance - the miracle of our freedom.
