Steve and Michelle are huge Japanophiles. They spend around three months of the year in Tokyo - their home away from home.Together, they have written, photographed and designed five books on Japanese culture: Tokyo Precincts (2015), Kyoto Pocket Precincts (2017), Tokyo (2018), Onsen of Japan (2018) and Tokyo Pocket Precincts (2019). Their books have won a design award and been translated into three languages. Steve Wide presents a long-running indie music radio show in Melbourne, Australia. He has interviewed PJ Harvey, Johnny Marr, Radiohead, Pulp, Oasis, Phoenix, Björk, run popular indie club nights and toured with Primal Scream and The Stone Roses. He has written six books on pop culture - Bowie A-Z (2016), Prince A-Z (2017), Warhol A-Z (2018), Grace Jones A-Z (2018), The Beatles A-Z (2019) and Freddie Mercury A-Z (2019) - and writes travel reviews for Monocle Books. Steve has a Masters in writing and creative media from RMIT and is currently undertaking a diploma in Japanese language.

Steve and Michelle live in Melbourne with their giant British shorthair cat, Bronte.
