The two kingdoms of Shanessa Island have been at war with each other for as long as anyone can remember but an end is in sight. A prophecy from The Sorcerer has foretold of a royal child with the power of neutrality that will defeat the opposing kingdom. Both sides now believe that they have the child. Princess Aedammair is the only heir to the Kingdom of Fire. On her sixteenth birthday she is told that she is the child the prophecy spoke of. Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Ice, Prince Brendann is told that he is the one who will end the war and bring victory to his kingdom. As they train for the final battle, Brendann and Aedammair's paths cross and they begin to discover how intertwined their lives really are. The ultimate question becomes not whether or not the war will come to an end, but whether or not they will be able to destroy one another in the process.
