Comet Halley : Investigations, Results, Interpretation
Part of a two-volume work which reviews the diverse observational programmes conducted during the 1985-1986 return of Halley's Comet, this book deals with dust, nucleus and evolution. It begins by describing the many observations made of dust emission from the comet, the detailed structure of the dust jets and the dust tail, the formation and long-term evolution of the meteoroid streams produced by the comet, and the findings of infra-red studies of the comet's dust environment.
