Profane Dominion is the third of three futurist fiction novels with science fiction elements in the series, The Astral Arcana. Set initially in Sydney, Australia, the action progresses internationally to a variety of locations including Scotland, Russia, America and France. Reimas Caledan, a hard-bitten activist of the Little River, fought the repressive Global Unity administration by whatever means he could, but as his power grows new elements that stem from his private life and friends begin to complicate the picture. Reimas's teams search for the missing Vesper. Sky is his youngest operative apart from her and, while she hasn't done a lot recently, as he prepares to take on Global Unity on an international front, her request that they find and rescue her mother leads to revelations of surprisingly great significance. Several apparently obscure leads open up a new line of enquiry and before long the true magnitude of the fight they face is revealed.
