A psychopathic patient, Miller Rask, threatens a doctor's family. He moves them to a remote Colorado valley in the Sangre de Cristos Mountains where he and his wife, Jane and daughter, Nancy, build an exquisite dream home. Life becomes secure again until they learn that Miller Rask has been transferred to a facility for the criminally insane not far away in their valley.
