Mary McGrane lives and writes in the U.S. With a degree in Creative Writing she has published Poetry and performed Poetry Readings at the "Open Mic" at the Cinema Arts Center in Huntington, NY. To date she has 5 published books including the "Monet and Me" series and 2 books on health on Amazon. Mary uses photography to showcase her passion and to honor both animals and nature as a mark against animal cruelty. She has appeared on television's National Geographic "Rescue Ink Unleashed" in the episode called "Street Rules" in 2009 in her life story against animal cruelty - now available on Amazon Prime. Her portrait of a Snowy Owl visiting from Canada to our shores won Honorable Mention at the Firefly Artists Gallery in Northport, NY. Her play "Journey Along the Hudson" has been performed as a reading in Ossining, NY near the Hudson River.
She has several slide shows and projects entitled "The Healing of America" including a Peace Ceremony at Lake Onondaga, NY. She has donated an oil painting on canvas as part of a fund raiser for the Huntington Arts Council and has exhibited many of her photographs at this venue.
