As a big game hunting guide, avid hunter, and historian, Bernard McKay has an extensive history of adventurous stories exclusively dealing with the outdoors. His latest work is a true-life adventure book titled Parade to Adventure written in short story style with over 50 true stories. The stories include exploration of almost every river in northern British Columbia by old-fashioned river boat. There are stories of his years as a professional hunting guide and trapper as well as his outdoor experiences in three African countries. Comical as well as tragic episodes are found throughout the book. Each story has a sketched illustration by artist and cowboy cartoonist, Wendy Liddle. Also included are some actual photographs that add insight and interest to the stories. Bernard McKay is a published author of two titles currently published by Hancock House Publishers (Crooked River Rats and Wild Trails Wild Tales).
