Cathy Ballou Mealey enjoys all kinds of fun vacation activities, including swimming, reading and sharing sweet treats. When she is not writing or reading, she volunteers for schools and programs that support individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. Cathy likes dill pickle pops and chocolate ice cream, but not at the same time! She writes and draws in a humorous style and loves to illustrate characters with quirky sensibilities. Kelly is also the illustrator of the Sloth and Squirrel series, What if I'm Not a Cat? and the Izzy series.She lives in Toronto, Canada, with her husband and daughter.
