Christmas is a time for families and groups to share, and what better way to share than to create this Nativity scene -- small enough to be manageable and large enough for all to have a hand in its making, from the older, more experienced knitter, to the youngest beginner.The familiar and well-loved figures are all there, with angels, shepherds, sheep, ox and ass, the three kings worshipping round the crib with Mary and Joseph.The three-dimensional figures stand about eight inches (20cm) tall and are made from simple rectangles of knitting shaped over heavy card pieces with standing bases. For the non-knitters there are simple yarn-wrapping projects such as the whole of the stable wall.
