A CPA by training, Jere spent his early years in public accounting, spe-cializing in corporate taxation. He shifted to the non-profit sector years ago, first as Chief Financial Officer of a prominent Maine private foundation, then adding the title of President, and ultimately, Chief Executive Officer and Trustee to his résumé. He is past-Chairman of Maine Medical Center and a past-Trustee of its parent health system, MaineHealth. He also serves on a community bank board as well as multiple for-profit entity boards. Jere is very grateful for his appoint-ment by Senator Susan M. Collins of Maine to serve on the first dis-trict's United States Military Academy Nomination Committee. He is the author of the first two books in this series, Deadly Account and The Dispensary.
