You'll fight battles as a cop that many people may not, including many Christians. They may be physical, moral, ethical, emotional, or all of the above. You'll fight against the lazy attitudes of others on the job. You'll fight public stereotyping and ignorant condemnation by people who have never walked in your shoes. You'll fight frustration as you see restrictive policies leave decent citizens in tough areas at the mercy of predatory criminals. You'll also fight against the selfish voice inside you that wants things your way instead of God's way. Yet you have God's own promise that He'll give you "strength unto the battle", whatever that battle may be. You may not kill any nine-foot giants, but if you'll "Trust in the LORD, and do good;" (Psalm 37:3) you'll see many exciting spiritual victories.
