In 1979 Dennis Miller founded Gila Wildlife Rescue in Silver City, New Mexico. Denise and Dennis have been running this life-giving program for the past 23 years. Together they have rehabilitated a wide variety of wildlife and recently have been specializing in birds of prey, becoming the premiere raptor rehabilitation center in the area. Denise comes from a background of decades in medical billing while Dennis is a retired Biology Professor from WNMU who taught for 29 years. Since 2008, he is the lead expert at Gila Biological Consulting. Annually Denise and Dennis rehabilitate 200 - 300 raptors. When they are not saving wildlife they enjoy traveling, fishing, camping, photography, and spending time with grandchildren.
