Emily Mitchell is a native Mainer and lifelong lover of ponies. She has three kids of her own and more ponies than she count, but she doesn't have a moose.yet! She wrote this story over several family trips to Mt. Kineo on Moosehead Lake where she was able to create a little quiet space while raising a family and running two horse businesses. Her family has loved this story for a few years already, and now we can't wait to share Tabitha Ruth and Pony with the rest of the world.Emily lives in Vassalboro, Maine with her husband, Bill Rafuse, her three children, Elliott, Willa, and Maggie, and a farm full of animals. She has a degree in English from Princeton University and a law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. She used to travel the world, but now she has settled right where she started and she spends her days running a riding stable, a tack shop, and a horse sales and leasing facility with the people and ponies she loves.
