Marcia Mitchell was a senior executive at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and retired as associate director of the American Film Institute. An award-winning writer, she has published five non-fiction books and recently turned to fiction with the Maggie Sachet mysteries, called the "new must-read series for mystery fans," and the comedy, What's Up, Pussycats. Like so many others, Marcia fell in love with Amazing Gertie at the first cuddle. She divides her time between her homes in the Black Hills of South Dakota and on the island of Montserrat.
