Jon Moore was born and raised in Helena, Montana. He spent childhood summers traveling to eastern Montana where the seeds for Homestead were planted. After attending Carroll College and receiving a teaching degree, Jon taught in Chester, Montana. Jon married Molly Moore in 1997 and they accepted teaching jobs in Shepherd, Montana. Jon teaches high school English, including Creative Writing, as well as coaches Speech,Drama,Debate and track. He and Molly have two sons.
