Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum 5, USA 37 : Greek Geometric and Protoattic Pottery
This fascicule presents all of the Greek Geometric and Protoattic pottery in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Of particular significance is a group of small vases from the Sanctuary of Zeus on Mount Hymettos in Athens from the 10th to 7th centuries BC as well as an assemblage which probably formed part of the same tomb group along with other vessels in the British Museum and Louvre. Several vessels have been attributed to particular painters and workshops.
