Richard grew up in Newburgh, New York, 60 miles north of Manhattan. In 2009, he and his wife, artist Pat Morgan, moved to New Jersey's Long Beach Island and a key to the poetry in his six books. Richard is an active member of the LBI Writers Group and founder of The Poets Studio, a monthly gathering of poets.
