Lisa Marcia Morris was born on Long Island, NY in the month of February. She is a writer, poet, story teller and artist. Lisa's love for children and poetry set her on a journey of poetic writing and character development. She has long desired to create characters with the ability to enchant their way off of book pages and into the imaginations of children. Lisa was first introduced to poetry by her mother, who often read to her before bedtime. Among her favorites were "The Sand-Hill Crane" by Mary Austin and nursery rhyme "Jack Sprat". Aesop's Fables, Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein were all on Lisa's favorite reading list.

Lisa continued her love for writing and joined the Poetry Club at her high school, contributing to the Eureka Poetry Magazine with her vivid depiction of an old city block. She received her Bachelor degree in Business Administration from New York Institute of Technology. During college she directed the play "McArthur Park" giving her the opportunity to add her poetic touch to the production. Even though she positioned herself for a job in corporate America, she remains true to her passion for art, verse and rhyme. Lisa considers herself as a late bloomer, it wasn't until she met her cousin, Shannon Grace, that she envisioned the characters for this book. When Shannon was 1 year old, she was affectionately called "Peanutty" because she looked like a little peanut. At this tender age she was certainly a "precious peanut" and she lovingly clutched a round stuffed animal - a dog shaped like a circle. Lisa wrote the first "Princess Peanutty and Circle Dog" story almost immediately after spending time with Shannon.

However, it took many years for the character design and illustrations to come together. Lisa's niece, Sophia Eleanor inspired her to seize the moment and start publishing her children's books. Sophia always requested improved bedtime stories that went on and one until someone fell asleep. Everything has it's time and place and Lisa decided that 2014 would be the year that Princess Peanutty and Circle Dog reached out to young readers and story tellers.
