This book certainly satisfied in that respect, and the detail is there for those that wish to pursue further. Hugh sets out the importance of early structural input to achieve a successful project; to explore the core design principles from a functional, economic and aesthetic standpoint. I have bought a number of structural engineering books - this book, by far, was the most frequently used in my day-to-day tasks.
