Rosemary Mosco is a science writer and artist, and she's passionate about sharing her love for the natural world. She writes and draws the science webcomic Bird and Moon and makes the urban nature webcomic Your Wild City in collaboration with fellow First Second author Maris Wicks. Jon Chad is obsessed with giant robots, screen-printing, and bookmaking. Chad has been commissioned by Cartoon Network to make artist books based on shows like Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball. He is the author of Leo Geo, Science Comics: Volcanoes, the illustrator of Science Comics: Solar System, and the creator of the multi-format immersion narrative BAD MASK. Tory Woollcott is a cartoonist, writer and literacy educator & advocate who lives in Toronto, Canada with her husband and her minor Internet celebrity dog, Reginald Barkley. Her first graphic novel, Mirror Mind, was an autobiographical memoir about growing up with dyslexia. She has since written and drawn other autobio comics, fairy tales for kids, and a sci-fi audio drama.


Alex Graudins is the cartoonist behind Science Comics: The Brain and History Comics: The Great Chicago Fire. Currently hiding out in li'l Rhode Island, she holds a BFA in Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts and has done work for sites like The Nib and CollegeHumor. She has a penchant for memoirs and narratives that tackle the topics of anxiety and friendship. Mairghread Scott is an animation and comic book writer. Her animation includes Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors, and more. Her published books include Marvel Universe Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers: Till All Are One, Transformers: Windblade, and Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary Special #1, as well as her graphic novels with First Second, The City on the Other Side and Science Comics: Robots and Drones. Jacob Chabot is an Eisner Award-nominated and New York Times Bestselling cartoonist. He is best known for his work on all-ages comics like Spongebob Comics, The Simpsons, and his creator owned book The Mighty Skullboy Army.
