James Moseley lived in the Indian Subcontinent for years, traveling from Kerala to Kashmir and from Peshawar to Orissa. He studied its literature, history, and religions - and collected Birbal Tales everywhere he went, from Government Ministers, artists, businessmen, journalists, radio and TV personalities, musicians, academicians, and, most of all, from good, common folk.
