Every night before bed, Joey and his black cat, Cosmos, sit by the window and look at the stars. Joey points out the Big Dipper and the bear he sees among the stars, but after Joey falls asleep, Cosmos decides he wants a closer look. Cosmos slips into the starry night, where he moves among the stars and sees the night sky in a whole new way. By morning, he is safely home-but when Joey looks at the sky the next night, he notices that something has changed. Cosmos and the Starry Night is a gentle picture book about curiosity, imagination, and the wonder of looking up at the night sky.
