A number of pieces of important new legislation have been incorporated into this new edition: these include parts of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001, the Land Registration Act 2002 and the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002. However, many existing Acts have undergone alterations over the past two years. In particular, the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 has been peppered with amendments --and, additionally, has acquired new versions of its Codes of Practice A-E.
