Husband of Carol. Father of Mandy, Ashley, Kip and Lance. Grandpa to Riley, Ethan (who the Lord took home with Cystic Fibrosis), Kady, Zoe, Berkeley and more on the way. Graduated from Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, California in 1961; from Orange Coast College in 1963 and from San Jose State University in 1967. I've spent the past 23 years as a Realtor in Spokane, Washington and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and am currently a managing Broker/Owner of Live Real Estate in Spokane Valley, Washington. The 22 years previous to my real estate career were spent in professional Christian ministry. I started as a 2 year intern at Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California under the friendship and teaching of Ray Stedman and the discipleship ministry of my mentor, David Roper to whom I will always be indebted. David "threw me to the wolves" on the Stanford University campus as part of Stanford United Ministries and was relentlessly available to catch me when I fell.

Through the influence of both David and Ray as a new college graduate, I learned to fall in love with the Word of God. Their modeling and teaching changed my life. Reading the Bible turned from being a boring chore into a life-changing discovery and adventure. After that impactful internship, I spent 10 years as the College and High School pastor at South Hills Community Church in San Jose, California. Many of those college and high school students I had the privilege of serving back then are among my dearest friends today. Following that, I served 5 years as the teaching pastor at Redlands Bible Church in Redlands, California. Then the Lord led me to Spokane, Washington to start a new church, Inland Community Bible Church, where I was the teaching pastor for 5 years before we merged with Central Valley Bible Church to become Valley Bible Church. Eventually, the Lord led me out of professional ministry and planted me in the secular "marketplace" as a Realtor where I have found new creative and dynamic ways to be His servant.

I still attend Valley Bible Church where I continue to be involved in ministry. Apart from my family and the opportunities God has given me to serve Him through my church and my business, my "extra-curricular" passion is fly-fishing. Join me sometime on the Big Horn or Missouri River in Montana.
