This self-help potable water supply projects of five Cameroonian towns and villages serve as case studies in Dr. Njoh's book which begins by examining the notion of community participation in Africa from both historical and theoretical perspectives. Although community participation has a long history in africa, its role in the continents development is yet to be adequately acknowledged.
