Kim Norman is the author of more than twenty children's books including TEN ON THE SLED, which has been featured in school winter programs and even a town's holiday parade float. She's especially excited about THIS OLD MAINE because it's the first book she has also illustrated! Kim grew up in Virginia, but her family roots in Maine go back many generations. Her grandfather milked cows in a barn only a few yards up the road from the little house with a big stone wall where she painted some of these pictures. Behind the little house is a rolling field where she and her husband watch wildlife through her grandfather's binoculars. On summer nights, Kim adores the sound of loons wailing at the moon above Kezar Lake.
