Destiney Ellsworth, a young Puritan girl, leaves the comforts of her home in Leyden, Holland, to set off with her family on a quest for religious freedom and a new beginning. But none of them know the dangers and hardships-even death-that lay before them in the New World. Judah Bennet, the captain's young indentured servant, is finding his first ocean voyage to be a great adventure-that is, until he uncovers a mutinous plot against the captain. A sudden twist of fate reveals a long kept secret of his past, and Judah suddenly finds himself plunged into a fast-paced and dangerous mission. 'Jamie's book will captivate your imagination, inspire your life and envelope your heart. It is a voyage of relentless hardship which is overcome with faith, love, and family. This truly inspires reflection and an appreciation for our personal blessings.' - Phillip Hoey.
