Sarah Oliver is an ever-inspiring, explorer of truth and beauty. Her heart for encouraging others is the very essence of her works, be it painting in her studio, in a public event or conducting a workshop.A native Floridian, born into a creative family, Sarah grew up playing and learning; using her imagination as well as attending classes; making all kinds of things with textiles, fibers, paints and many other mediums. She has always spent a lot of time outdoors, a lover of nature, gardening and still today treasures her quiet time, preferably outdoors. Her work includes spontaneous, abstract paintings that provoke, inspire and release life; wearable art; and the Essence of Letting It Flow, a coloring book of serendipitous doodles for inspiration & relaxation. She will tell you that spontaneity comes from deep places within her, and manifests with sound and movement. She calls it a perfect remedy to balance the precise, detailed cosmetic tattooing that she offers in her Fort Lauderdale studio. She has applied permanent makeup for eyebrows, eyeliner and lips enhancing and restoring the appearance of women for over 20 years.
In 2014 Sarah had an encounter at church. She began sensing and seeing pictures during worship that were powerful and personal to her. One evening on her way home from a church meeting she sensed hearing "paint it" in her spirit. She was so taken back that she actually declared out loud, "I'm not a painter". Once the words were out it's as if her soul answered, "Okay, I'll try."Stepping out in faith for Sarah is not new, she has followed her intuition many times, but she will say that this is one of the most adventurous, scary and rewarding leaps she's taken. She is a worshipper that moves in the spirit and is called to activate and release creativity in others. Her hope is that you and many others are inspired, stirred up and open to the will of our Creator.
Sarah paints live locally at community events, as a guest artist or teacher at conferences and is a member of the Creative Arts Team at The Harbour Church in Pompano Beach, FL.
