Lorenz's series of monographs continues to impress. No, they aren't the absolutely definitive works on their subjects, but you get a good account by a proper academic of their life and work as well as infinitely better reproduced illustrations than you have any right to expect for the price. This one is slightly more expensive at £16.99, but they're still practically giving it away. 500 images is a lot and, no, they're not all full-page, but it does mean that you get to see a lot of less familiar works, as well as drawings and sketches, and the big-name stuff. Yes, of course the self-portrait and the hare are here as well a many representatives of his considerable religious output, but so are some illustrations from his Four Books on Human Proportion and other portraits and natural history subjects.
