JUDAH FREED (1950-) is an international journalist, author and consultant. His books have won a Benjamin Franklin Book Award, two Nautilus Book Awards, and an Evvy Book Award. Entering journalism in 1976, he spent a decade covering Denver and Colorado. He next wrote two decades for top U.S. and European media trade magazines, pioneering coverage of interactive TV and the internet. His writings on the nature of interactivity drew calls to speak on four continents. Today, he works for a news service, freelances, blogs on Medium, edits Mankind Journal, and writes books.
Judah earned a 1988 double BA in communication and journalism from the University Without Walls program at Loretto Heights College (Regis). In the Individualized MA program from Antioch University, he researched rhetoric, organizational culture and public communication.Judah is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (First Amendment committee and Banned Books committee), The Authors Guild, The Society of Professional Journalists, The National Society of Newspaper Columnists, The Independent Book Publishers Association, Coalition of Visionary Resources, The Colorado IndeĀpendent Publishers Association, The Colorado Authors League (past president), and the historic Denver Press Club.
