Following a career in industry design practice and wide-ranging consultancy work, Vikki continues her interests in the use of computer design for knit, bringing this, alongside theories of practice, to her teaching at the University of Brighton. She has worked on DK's The Knitting Book (2011), Knit Step by Step (2012), Big Book of Knitting (2013), and Baby & Toddler Knits Made Easy (2013). Frederica Patmore , author of the tools and materials, all original projects, and stitch pattern chapters, has worked as a Design Consultant for Rowan Yarns, one of the biggest providers of luxury yarns in the world. She runs a number of classes at different skill levels in department stores and independent knitting shops, and contributes to needlecraft publications. As well as being a master of knitting techniques, Frederica is an accomplished and successful knitting pattern designer. A group of new pattern designers will be commissioned to create 10 new projects for this 2019 edition of the book.
