Dan Paul grew up in Lake Wobegon fishing, playing sports and building houses. After attending the University of Wisconsin, Madison and working at the linear fusion reactor lab, he explored alternatives to the dominant codes. While staying in coops, communes, and squats around the country, he learned the fundamentals of setting up and operating progressive, radical and sustainable alternatives to the code of the corporation and nation.
