Ridley plays bass guitar in an all-author rock band with other bestselling writers (Dave Barry, Amy Tan, Mitch Albom, Scott Turow, Greg Iles, and occasionally Stephen King). He lives and writes in the Northern Rockies along with his wife, Marcelle. Berat Pekmezci was born and grew up in Istanbul, where he first began his studies in graphic arts. With a keen interest in storytelling and visual narrative, he turned his talents toward illustration and published his first graphic novels in Turkey.
After working as an art director at advertising agencies for several years, he moved to London and has been illustrating book covers and children's books ever since. Berat enjoys doodling on his sketchbooks in his travels and spending time with his cat.
