Michael Robert Perry was born in St. Albans England in 1951. He left school aged sixteen to train as a watchmaker, however a serious illness forced him to leave just two years later. Following lengthy spells in three hospitals Michael then started a long and very successful career in a building society. Michael loves to travel and it was on a night flight back from the USA that his first novel A Million Tears came to him. The wonderful music of Cat Stevens and Don Mclean also inspired Michael to write. Now retired he lives in North Cambridgeshire with his wife and son.
