Television in New Zealand offers a range of thoughtful and passionate perspectives on the medium of television and its relationship with New Zealand. Although the focus of the book is television today, and it offers some detailed discussion of current programs, it concentrates on long-term trends and generic continuities. In focusing on the present the book also acknowledges the future, for television is passing through an exceptional period of change.
