The Satyricon (Illustrated Edition)
This Latin work of fiction contains a mixture of prose and verse, combining serious and comic elements and including erotic and decadent passages. This complete and unexpurgated translation published in 1922 incorporates the forgeries of Nodot and Marchena and the readings introduced into the text by De Salas. The accompanying pen and ink illustrations by Australian artist Norman Lindsay were made during his visit to Europe between 1909-11.
